Polished guest rooms offer moments of calm and feature windows showcasing river views, although some visitors note firm beds and eco-conscious linens. A stylish guest lounge and bar invite guests to unwind and socialize in an inviting atmosphere.
The location places visitors close to the Musée d’Art Contemporain, upscale boutiques along Cours Vitton, and classic Lyonnaise bistros, creating a perfect blend of culture and leisure. While rooms are soundproof and well-maintained, some remark on the bathroom layouts as a retrofit to the original building. “The location is excellent and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are friendly and the amenities, including the free snacks, are great. The view from the river facing room was beautiful and the corner unit had so many windows. The only negative is the bed: is is really hard which on its own is not the issue but combined with the very rough bed linens, it was a bit much. I understand that they are trying to be eco-friendly but surely there are more comfortable/smooth eco-friendly materials. It was actually pretty unpleasant and affected my sleep quality. I would not recommend to anyone with sensory issues related to rough/uncomfortable fabrics. I think that the bathroom design has been roasted enough in the reviews but I will just say to be careful to not slip and fall after a shower and to lay down towels.”
“Title: Mixed feelings: Great location, but issues with rooms and service I stayed at the Okko Hotel in Lyon and have mixed feelings about my experience. The hotel is located in an old building that has been converted into guest rooms. The Room and Bathroom: • Layout: The bathrooms are clearly a later addition, built on a raised platform. • Privacy: If two people are sharing a room, using the toilet is quite uncomfortable for the other person due to the lack of sound isolation. Unless you have zero "toilet noise phobia," this might be a problem. • Technical Issues: We noticed water leaking from the bathroom area. The Service and Room Quality: Our experience started poorly. Despite the hotel not being full, we were initially given the worst, most humid, and foul-smelling room in our category. When we complained, the first receptionist claimed there were no other rooms available. However, another receptionist later gave us a different room on the 3rd floor. This felt like a deliberate attempt to give us the worst room possible, which was unacceptable and felt like our intelligence was being insulted. Amenities: • The Good: They offer free snacks, tea, coffee, fruit, and water 24/7. • The Bad: The coffee quality is very poor and actually caused some stomach discomfort. • Heating: The building temperature was decent and comfortable. Sheets are unironed and pillows are not good Conclusion: In terms of price, performance, and location, this hotel is a reasonable choice only if you pay under €100 per night and don't mind the awkward bathroom setup.”
“Perfect location for our two-night stay in Lyon. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. Breakfast was just enough to start our day before exploring the city. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return”
“Our room was very comfortable. Bed was top quality. It was very sound proof for sleeping at night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. We had breakfast included and it was more than satisfactory. Location was fine. Lot's to see and do relatively close by.”
